Finley-Sharon Public School

The Finley-Sharon Public School District #19 is primarily a rural school district of 293 square miles. The communities Finley, North Dakota and Sharon, North Dakota merged together in 1975 to form Finley-Sharon Public School and the first graduating class was spring of 1976. The Finley-Sharon School K-12 is located in the city of Finley, ND, which is approximately 26 miles west of Mayville, ND on Highway 200. 


The current enrollment is 169 (2007-2008 school year) which allows for an excellent student to teacher ration allowing the students who need extra help to receive it.


Our staff includes 19 teachers, superintendent/high school principle, elementary principle/athletic director and one part time counselor. Special education services are provided through the Griggs, Steele, Trail (GST) Cooperative. 


The curriculum has a variety of academic offerings which include vocational agriculture, home economics, computer/business classes, music department, and core class instruction. Extra curricular activities include music, speech, drama,and athletics. Dual credit classes are available for grades 11 and 12 students who qualify and desire to participate.


Finley-Sharon School is a wireless internet facility.
